2) Photo-based reminders & automated processing (including AI/ML)
Desio lets you snap a photo, add text input, and generate a reminder. If you choose to upload photos or text for this feature:
- You are in control of whether to upload and generate content.
- Uploads are processed on our own servers only to provide the requested output. This may involve automated techniques, including machine learning.
- No third-party sharing of your uploaded photo/text for this processing.
- No face recognition or biometric identification; no biometric inference.
- No training for marketing/ads using your uploaded photo/text.
- Immediate deletion from our servers after processing completes.
- By default, generated reminder content is stored locally on your device unless you choose otherwise (if available).
If you do not upload content, you can still use other features (for example, viewing forecasts), but the photo-based processing feature may not function.
3) How we use information
- Provide & maintain the Services (forecasts, reminders, account functionality).
- Personalize preferences and improve usability.
- Improve & debug the App (analytics, diagnostics, crash logs).
- Security (prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access).
- Customer support and communications.
- Legal compliance and enforcement of our terms.
5) International data transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms.
6) Security
- Encryption in transit and at rest (where appropriate).
- Access controls and least-privilege principles.
- Periodic audits/reviews and monitoring.
- Backups and recovery procedures.
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7) Retention
- Account information: retained while your account is active.
- After account deletion: deleted or anonymized within 30 days, unless required for legal/security reasons.
- Usage analytics: up to 12 months.
- Support content: up to 6 months.
- Photo-based uploads: deleted immediately after processing completes.

- Location permissions: you can enable/disable location access in your device settings.
9) Children’s privacy (17+)
